How it works

MR fluid is oil with iron particles. A field makes it thick; no field and it flows. PulseCore uses that as a programmable damper.

A magnet on the push rod works with the fluid during the rearward stroke. At the rear of travel a coil pulse stiffens or releases on command.

A second pulse at the front of travel helps the bolt into battery — a magnetic rack instead of a slamming spring.

Shown on Brujeria concept platforms. Not a retail SKU.

MR yield stress rises with B-field. A short coil pulse can change damping in milliseconds. Combined with the patent’s moving-magnet coil, you get a sealed unit that both brakes and returns.
