How it works
A magnet is coupled to the bolt or buffer mass and travels through (or past) a coil in the housing.
The coil is driven — or shorted — so the field opposes the rearward stroke. Felt recoil drops because the carrier is braked in the tube, not in the shooter’s shoulder.
A second coil can be wired as a generator: the same motion that you just braked can charge a small source or feed the opposing coil.

A current-carrying coil makes a field; a magnet moving through that field feels F = ∇(m·B). A generator coil sees emf = −dΦ/dt. The patent covers both the opposing field and the harvest path.
