How it works
The magnet stack still does the progressive work. A short spring segment covers the last bit of travel and return energy.
Copper weights move through the field and dissipate leftover energy as eddy currents — a dead-blow that does not bounce.
Modules swap: more copper for suppressed 12-ga, more magnet for a light 5.56 gun.
Lenz’s law: a conductor moving in a changing field grows currents that oppose the motion. Force is velocity-dependent, which is how the hybrid kills bounce the 1/r² stack cannot.
