How it works

An electropermanent magnet (EPM) holds or releases with a short pulse, then stays in that state with no continuous power.

Mounted in the BCG or upper, it can hold the bolt until a timed release — a delay without a gas port.

Suppressed guns stay cleaner because there is no gas tap driving the action. This is a disclosed R&D concept, not a kit.

An EPM sandwiches a hard magnet and a switchable magnet in a yoke. A coil pulse flips the switchable magnet, redirecting flux. Holding force then needs no current.
