How it works
Same hybrid envelope as MBS-C: magnets stage the rearward stroke, a spring still returns the carrier. Scaled for rifle-length extensions and heavier mass.
Extra travel and a longer working gap keep the force curve progressive when the BCG has more impulse.
12-gauge AR shotguns use the same tube family. PAMAX commercial units are hybrid, not the 8-magnet prototype.
Heavier mass at the same 1/r² law means the magnet stages are sized so peak force still arrives late in travel. The spring is the return, not the whole damper.

Hybrid assembly
One axis. Magnets float apart because like poles shove. Spring and copper slugs run the same direction — barrels, not coins on their side.
Floating apart
Like poles shove the discs open. Gaps are the spring.

Versus mil-spec spring
- Handles heavier BCGs without stretching a steel spring to do all the work
- Hybrid curve for .308-class impulse
- Same licensing model as MBS-C
